Why Education

Education domain is natural and key to the vision of MGRM.

Purpose of education is to develop an individual into a complete personality. MGRM’s patented concept of ‘from delivery to development’ recognises education as perhaps the most critical enabler in governance. If only education can focus individually as per one’s requirement and aptitude, develop good citizens, much of the societal conflict can cease, making governance rather easy.

The word education is derived from the Latin  word “educare” (with a short u),  meaning "to raise", "to bring up", "to train", "to rear", via "educatio/nis", bringing up, raising. In recent times, there has been a return to, an alternative assertion that education derives from a different verb: “educere” (with a long u), meaning "to lead out" or "to lead forth".

Education often implies formal education. However, the word's broader meaning covers a range of experiences, from formal learning to the building of understanding and knowledge through day to day experiences. Ultimately, all that we experience serves as a form of education.

Formal education stops where careers begin. In fact, the age-old system of Gurukul emphasised the guru,  i.e. single teacher educating and bringing up the child as per his aptitude until the child was ready to face the world on his own. This meant complete development. Single teacher also provided the continuum that knew the subject intimately, which was an overarching part of this development process. The grown up individual, developed on his strengths entered the world, ready to face it.

Today’s specialised world slices education into different stages – pre-primary, primary, middle, secondary and senior secondary at school levels seeing every child go through two to three schools with no one really having any chart of his development. Then comes preparatory higher education that takes a student into different specialist streams of technical or specialised education. Statistics show there is maximum drop out at the middle and secondary stage; for every one child who passes out school, another drops out. Result: we have large drop outs,  contributing to social problems. Those passing out have to make suboptimal career choices. Focus of Education therefore has to redeem to developing physical, psychological and social dimensions to make a student into a complete personality.

MGRM’ research based platform addresses these gaps. MGRM research has spanned over 1,00,000 schools, 600 colleges and 100 universities worldwide, giving it veritable insights into domain best practices. It retains the focus on student from the day he enters the formal education system. Our Education Expert systems have been designed with focus to make all the stakeholders experience a sense of individual completeness due to their focus on each individual.
