Why you should opt for Chemistry (Hons.)

If you are interested in entering the fascinating world of chemical reactions, knowing more about the chemical structures of the substances we use in our daily lives, performing first-hand experiments and arriving at the correct solution, then this is ideal course for you. The course can help in pursuing post graduate studies in India including IITs and abroad. Apart from doing M.Sc. in Chemistry (with specialization in Inorganic / Organic / Physical / Analytical Chemistry), post graduation can also be done in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Polymer Science, Forensic Science and Computer Application. This can be followed by PhD. which will take you to the academic world, Government Research Organisations and the Industrial Sector (Pharmaceutical, Textile, Foods to name a few). The rapidly developing fields of Biotech, Environmental Science need a student with a strong foundation in Chemistry. An M.Sc. can also be followed by an M. Tech which is a passport to leading industries. Other options include MBA. & B.Ed. etc.
