Concurrent Courses

Back
INTRODUCTION :
The Restructured B.A. Honours Programme came into effect from July 2005, in respect to what were earlier called Subsidiary Courses. These courses are known as Concurrent Courses. While doing an Honours course, the students tend to get over-specialised in one discipline. The aim of the Concurrent courses is to familiarise the student with developments in fields related to the main discipline and to develop critical social awareness.

STRUCTURE:
Each student will be required to take four credit courses and one qualifying course. Concurrent courses have four components
1.Language credit course
2.Qualifying course
3.Interdisciplinary course
4.Discipline centred course
  • In the first year a student shall offer 1, 2 and 3.

  • In the second year a student shall offer two discipline centred courses out of the various options provided.

  • Students taking admission this year, will have the following concurrent courses.
