    This course is so designed that it inculcates in you an awareness of the history, not only of India but also of Europe, the Far East and countries like the United States of America. To know how we got where we are "We must fully comprehend the pastness of the past. There is no way in which the past can be guaranteed from the present." History (Hons.) enables you to approach with confidence a career in education, civil servies, research, journalism, archaeology and museum studies to name a few. You can also opt for a career in travel and tourism with ITDC and other premier institutions. The Department reserves the right to hold a written test/interview for admission to this course, if necessary. This course is available in English medium only.
