Why
you should opt for History (Hons.)
This course is so designed that it inculcates in you an
awareness of the history, not only of India but also of Europe,
the Far East and countries like the United States of America.
To know how we got where we are "We must fully comprehend
the pastness of the past. There is no way in which the past
can be guaranteed from the present." History (Hons.) enables
you to approach with confidence a career in education, civil
servies, research, journalism, archaeology and museum studies
to name a few. You can also opt for a career in travel and
tourism with ITDC and other premier institutions. The Department
reserves the right to hold a written test/interview for admission
