Why you should opt for Zoology (Hons.)
Zoology - "the science of animals" their diversity, morphology,
life cycles, interactions with environment and man is one
of the most interesting branches of science. Study of zoology
is becoming increasingly important and more and more exciting
because of extensive research during the last few years. Significant
research advances have resulted in the emergence of newer
applications for the betterment of human lives, conservation
of nature, awareness of environmental problems, management
of pollution, understanding of the causes transmission and
treatment of diseases. Recent developments in the fields of
cell biology, genetics, immunology, biochemistry physiology,
embryology, toxicology, economic zoology, pest and insect
vector control, drug designing, bioinformatics and applications
of biotechnology are remarkable The aim of the course is to
equip the students with basic conepts and fundamentals and
prepare the students for higher education, teaching and/or
research and suitable vocations. You can also appear for competitive
examinations of Civil Services, Agricultural Services, Indian
Forest Service and the Management Sector.
