News channels, databases, movies, and music are available for the common man. Online markets are accessible around the clock and electronic commerce is routinely performed worldwide. The Internet stimulates people to do things big and grand. Online curriculum and courses from leading universities are becoming routine. Adaptive technologies allow the otherwise alienated to participate in the educational processes. Governments are migrating towards electronic governance allowing citizens to view government notifications, access services from remote locations, and voice opinion —all through a single window.

 
While the benefits of this technology are huge, it also has obvious drawbacks. Easy access to hardcore material and incomplete information is polluting the young mind and affecting their focus. Fake companies con innocent internet users of millions of dollars and identity thefts such as social security and credit card numbers allow misuse, both online and offline. The WWW has grown uncontrollably and most countries do not have laws to cope with its misuse.
