OmVcard - the Online Multi-domain Value Card (OmVcard) is the most unique and novel component of MGRM's e-Governance solutions and services.

It is an empowering tool personal to each user that brings the focus of the system on him/her. It is also the most visible and vital part of MGRM’s offering.

It is a microprocessor chip embedded, multi-functionality, proprietary, online value card that provides access to the world of MGRM Net. The Value Card, the first of its kind, accesses and interfaces with MGRM Net’s integrated applications. It functions seamlessly across different domains of MGRM Net service network duly, representing and empowering the user at the same time.

The card itself is a PACTOP™ - a pocket computer. This card-based technology used is among the most advanced in the world, with 128-bit encryption to cater to highest level of security. It acts as a binding tool for all the users. For example, it binds the student, teacher, parent, administrator and the alumni with all the constituents of educational institution, helping fulfil the holistic institutional objectives.

The OmVcard acts as a virtual plug in the socket of MGRM Expert systems for a seamless and unimaginable user experience. When the Card is inserted into the Card Reader, the user will not only have access to the application but also to his duties and rights in the application.

MGRM personalizes and customizes the card according to the user/organizational requirements.  It provides access to functionalities depending on roles, privileges and duties to each user as per the institution’s hierarchy. But it is not just a simple access card but a dynamic tool bearing access rights and functionalities that interacts with the application system.

Once personalized, only the genuine owner can use this OmVcard. The system keeps complete track of the transactions that take place through the card, maintaining a log of each user. The card stores vital information in a highly secured manner that can come in handy during an emergency. For example, it can provide contact information and vital health data to the doctor that could save a life.

MGRM Net’s proprietary technology permits the user to use the OmVcard in the manner of his choice i.e. it can function in a closed-user group and/or in the public domain. Responsibilities can be added, deleted and updated centrally for a group of users or a specific user without disturbing the person concerned.

The Card makes human interface most secure for data entry and, most interestingly, the data entry requirements are reduced by almost 50-70% because of its unique Card Management System. 

The card comes in a variety of memory sizes ranging from 5KB to 128 KB and has RAM, ROM and EEPROM for operating system as well as data application storage.
